We meet Ricardo again. ;)
Your tour guide makes lots of jokes on the way. If you stand in front of the pyramid, you have really good acoustic. So if you clap, you can here it in the whole place.
Two times per year, at solar eclipse, the shade of the corner will show the body of the snakes on the stairway on the left side of the top picture.
The guide also tells us where to take good pics.
Oh and that is the picture, where people say, that they can see a man in a space suit. Helmet, breathing device and wings to fly.
Also next to the main pyramid there is the great ball court.
It is said, that they had regular ball games, where they would just play the sport. And others, where they would play a game instead of fighting a war. The goal was it to throw the ball into one of the wholes. If you manage that, the game is over. If it was not decided by sunset, the team with the most mistakes would loose. Loosing a regular game was not a problem.
But the defeat of a war game is described in the picture below.
The 2 captains would go to the middle of the court. The winner would have a sword and cuts of the head of the loosing captain. And the war was decided.
Then we head to the oder part of the down. There is an observatory.
Afterwards we go to a cenote named Ik Kil for a swim. They charge for lockers, so we just take our stuff down. Everyone has to take a shower, before going down.
I just love jumping down all kinds of places. ;)
We meet Recardo again and he also joins for a jump. ;)
As always Tania and me are late. So we have to run...
At the way home we stop at this down.
At home we head to an Oxxo to buy a cell phone, because from now on I will need one. And we are really hungry, so we go to have some food. I take flamed jumbo shrimp, which are cooked at your table.
So I have to make a decision. Do I go to Lima for a week, or travel along with Ricardo. At about midnight I decide to go to sleep... Not knowing what I will do tomorrow. Sadly Ricardos cellphone was out of power, so he could not answer me. It will be a long night for me, waking up a few times, thinking about where I should go next.
