Comalcalco - Tabasco

Before midnight we take a taxi to the bus terminal. The day starts really early, or rather it never stopped. The taxi driver has a goat leg hanging down his rear mirror.

At the bus terminal I try to get some money from the ATM machine, but it gets slower and slower and freezes after I put in the amount I wanted to take. So I wait there for I don't know - really long time. Haha, and what happens, Windows reboots, gives me back my card and says, out of order. hahaha

The temperature in the bus is set to 19°C, it's freezing cold. I wish I had a blanket. A first Class ticket can be very different... ;) After 6 hours bus ride we arrive. So we have to search for a little bus to get to Tabasco. Everyone gives us different directions, but we get to the other bus stop.

The other small bus is again very cold. And as Tania asks, where we have to get out, a old guy tells her, can't you see the traffic, we are not there yet.

Tanias friend Carlos and we have breakfast.

Afterwards we go to the pyramids in Tabasco, named Comalcalco. Which means "house of the clay pans". Those are the oldest maya pyramids yet found. The where build once, abounded and later the maya moved in again.

In front of the main temple.

A guard at the site gives explanations about the ruins and shows the optimal way to get around.

Afterwards we watch a movie about the ruins in one of the buildings at the entrance and then we go to have a look at the museum.

Afterwards Carlos wants to go with us to a place to have Frappé, but we have to stop by tomorrow.

So we go to an other place to have a local drink. Chocolate with corn and a local candy.

Then we go to his fathers place to have lunch. It is a very good soup with eggs.

Then we add Chilly with onions and meat.

Carlos takes me to a movie store to rent Inferno, but sadly none of the 3 Stores have them to rent.

So later we head out to have some Frappé.

Afterwards we are going home to Carlos dads place to have dinner.

And then we go out  to have some drinks with Carlos friends.

This is a bear with sauce. The taste is so strong, too much for me, so Carlos finishes the drink for me.
