Breakfast is nothing special, a banana and dry toasted bread with marmalade. Hehe, I start with that, because some people where asking me, why I do start with something like that. ;)
Today we want to go to Edzná. Those ruins are not so famous, but see for your self. So yesterday we were told that instead of taking the tour for 200 p just for transportation, we can take a colectivo to the ruins.
Haha, but as always, how to get to the bus top, when people give all kinds of directions. We go through the down town and 2 blocks through a market. And as it seems always, just right in time to the bus stop.
Ricardo shows us his most liked candy.
So the new price is 35 p, so much cheaper. Anita has a certificate, that states that she studies in Mexico. The guy at the entrance asks us, if we are with her, so we only have to pay for one ticket.
First we have to walk through the jungle and then we get to the start of the ruins.
So we go through the little whole in that wall in front of us, walk to the big plaza and hike up the house to the right.
Nice few....
There was one italian girl walking up the main pyramid and 2 other ones siting right in the middle of the upper plaza. All shouting to them did not help at all, so I walked over there to get them out of the picture... hehe
Behind the building... Taking pics everywhere. ;)
They had a very small ball game court.
It gets hotter and hotter.
That is the other side from where we did take the pics from.
The main pyramids are on higher ground, like they started to build a really really big pyramid and then just put 5 pyramids on top.
We take a walk to the back of the main pyramid.
And here you can see, a pyramid in the 3 states, left to right, restored to taken by the jungle.
Haha, and some posing pics for the end...
And the best for as last... can you find me and Ricardo?
Afterwards we head back to exit. We just miss the colective... But the luck is a nice companion when traveling. Because as we start to walk to the highway, an Austrian couple, stops and takes us back to Campeche. ;) How nice that everything just works out fine... ;)
We all are really hungry, so we have some food. I just love the coconut rice drink they serve here in mexico.
After lunch I head out to buy a adapter. At the hostel hey told me, where I could find one. So I try to find the shop. As always everyone tells me different directions... And after 4 electronic shops I finally find one.
That is how the normal streets look in the down down area.
The church at the main square.
We also go to an museum.
If you look carefully, there are 2 heads with long noses. Scientists are still not sure, what they represent.
We also go on roof of the museum.
And along the old city wall.
Then we take a taxi to a fort a bit south in the city. Sadly the museum there is closed. So we just take a look.
Afterwards we take the bus back to down town. And then Ricardo and me take a walk to the outer bus station to buy a ticket to Palenque. There is only one more free spot on the 9:45 bus, so we buy the one for 00:20. It's a 5 1/2 hour trip... tomorrow will be a fun day... ;)
So we have some time take a shower, eat, and check the internet.... Oh and it is raining, so not much to do.
